This clip secures the hood support rod when the bonnet is open. Mounted under the hood or on the fender apron, it holds the prop rod in place so it doesn’t rattle or fall while you work in the engine bay. Made from durable POM plastic in black, it is a direct replacement for the original clip on Toyota vehicles that use a manual hood prop rod. Simply snap the rod into the clip and push the base into the mounting hole.

🚗 Compatible Models / Fitment
Two OEM references share similar design but fit different Toyota generations:

• 53455‑0D030: Used on Toyota Vios NCP42 (2002–2007) – very common in Malaysia.

• 53455‑20040: Found on older Toyota models such as Caldina, Carina, Corona and similar 1990s platforms. Also applicable to other Toyota vehicles that use a similar hood prop rod clip.

In Malaysia, this part is most often needed for first‑generation Vios, but workshops servicing older imported Caldina/Carina/Corona can also use it. The clip is located under the hood, not on body panels or interior trim.

⚠️ Installation Notes
Push the base of the clip into the existing square or rectangular mounting hole until it locks. Snap the hood support rod into the circular section of the clip. Ensure the rod diameter matches the clip opening.
